Watercolor exhibit at Chester Library

Description:

The artist that will be exhibiting at the Chester Library in January and February is Gene Berry. His collection of watercolors, Inspirations Everywhere, is an exploration of people, animals, architecture and the things of everyday life. The exhibit will be at the Chester Library, Jan. 3 – Feb. 25, with an opening reception on Saturday, Jan. 10, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Artist’s Reception provided by the Artist’s Reception Committee of the Chesterfield Center for the Arts Foundation.

Adventures in Learning classes begin January 14

Description:

The Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield kicks off its Adventures in Learning Winter 2015 Session on Wednesday, January 14 at 9 a.m. Classes will be held on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through March 4. Classes, held at the Chester Baptist Church located at 4317 School St., require pre-registration and have a fee of $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Registration and a list of classes can be found on their website at www.shepcenter.org.

Don’t just landscape – landscape for life!

Description:

Are you a homeowner who wants to create and maintain your own healthy, sustainable landscape? The Chesterfield County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension will be offering a six-week course, “Landscape for Life,” in which participants will learn how to save money and improve their landscapes. The course, which runs Feb. 17-March 24, will be held at the Chesterfield Cooperative Extension Office.
