Genetics can play an important role in athletic ability. It’s been suggested that genetics can limit abilities, but they can also put someone at a predisposition to be a great athlete. That would appear to be the case for Rasir Bolton, an eighth-grader at Life Christian Academy (LCA) in Chester.
An overflow crowd celebrated the past, present and future golf success at Meadowbrook Country Club on November 22. The event was hosted by the Retired Associates of Meadowbrook Seniors (RAMS) to applaud guests of honor, Adam Ball and Lyberty Anderson for their success as reigning RGA and RWGA Champions.
Nine Thomas Dale music students were selected and attended the Senior Regional Orchestra event on November 9 in Lynchburg, Va. The Orchestra was under the direction of Marine Corps Chamber Orchestra violinist Peter Wilson.
Wells Warriors sent all three levels to the CQL Football Southern Division Championships this year. The minor level lost to Marguerite Christian. Both the juniors and seniors defeated the Scott Scorpions to move onto the Super Bowl.
Two players graduated – Alexis Bane, who led L.C. Bird in three-point shots made and Tiara Washington, a strong inside player. Both started games last season.
Starling Jones and Taylor Mason graduated and were a big part of the team’s success rebounding. Jones was tough on the inside and could shoot while Mason was a tough, versatile player. Rebounding is an early area of concern for the Warriors with these losses.
