Chester resident advances to State Geography Bee finals

Zach Perkins, son of Robert and Diane Perkins and an eighth grader at Matoaca Middle School, has qualified to represent the school in the State Geography Bee, which will be held at Shenandoah University on April 9.

Bothe inks professional pact with Kickers

Roger Bothe, a 2006 Thomas Dale High School graduate who led the Knights to two state soccer titles, recently signed a contract to play professionally for the local Richmond Kickers.

Lady Knights fall to Princess Anne in state quarterfinals

On a 25-0 roll entering the region finals, the Lady Knights seemed destined for a date in the state championship final four. However, a subpar first half against Cosby and a meeting with Eastern Region juggernaut Princess Anne brought the magical season to an end.
