Carol Brinkley’s passion for field hockey nets invite to play internationally

With eight minutes left in the game Carol Brinkley, on the Eastern Mennonite University team, lifted the ball into the goal over Sweet Briar College’s goalie. Brinkley’s goal was the last score of the game and gave EMU a 6-0 win over SBC.

Matoaca yields win at Homecoming

Matoaca High School celebrated their annual homecoming football game and the 50th Anniversary of the school on Friday, October 4. The Next Level: Coble, Newman, Williams

After a semester at Fork Union, Coble transferred to JMU and earned playing time as a freshman before redshirting last season. Playing alongside fellow Chester area resident Michael Birdsong, the former Monarch has caught six passes for 24 yards in limited playing time in the slot.
