The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program wants to help Colonial Heights Police Department resolve a credit-card fraud case.
A man tried to make a purchase using his debit card but the transaction was denied. When he called his bank to find out why, he learned that the account had a hold on it because of suspicious activity. Within a 10-minute period of time, a male suspect had taken this man’s number and used it to purchase three gift cards at the Target in Colonial Heights, 721 Southpark Blvd. The same suspect later redeemed those cards at a Target in Richmond.
The suspect is a black male in his 20s. He has a stocky build and was wearing a printed white T-shirt, orange or red shorts and a white, low-profile ball cap. A photo of the suspect is available on crimesolvers.net under the “Crime of the Week” link.
