The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a case involving a home break-in and credit card fraud.
Between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, someone broke into a home on Duckridge Terrace in Chesterfield County. Once inside, the suspect or suspects stole a Dell laptop computer and a purse containing cash and credit cards. Within a very short time, the victim’s stolen L.L. Bean credit card was used to make more than $800 in purchases, including a $187 fuel purchase from a local Wawa. An attempted purchase was made at Shoe City in Southside Plaza, but the transaction was declined.
A surveillance camera captured images of a woman who used the card, and these images may be viewed on our website, crimesolvers.net. From the main page, select the Crime of the Week link.
