A community meeting has been scheduled for Monday, June 14 to review information related to an electronic sign that is proposed for West Hundred Road in the Village of Chester.
Attorney Carrie Coyner scheduled the meeting at Chester Middle School at 7 p.m. to get community feedback on the controversial sign. The sign is proposed to be located just west of the CSX bridge on Route 10 and will advertise businesses located in the Chester Village Green development and on a 10-foot by 6-foot-4-inch electronic screen with a total sign height of 22 feet, 4 inches.
In a meeting held in the fall of 2009 with a neighborhood group, Coyner said the message on the screen would change every 10 seconds. After input from the community and the results of recent conditional use cases for electronic signs, the details of the proposed sign could change.
