Senior at Lynchburg College
A four-year letterman at Meadowbrook, Simmons averaged 10 points and five rebounds per contest as a Monarch. The big-bodied guard (6-0, 210) has enjoyed his first three seasons at Lynchburg as a valuable bench player and earned 11 starts last season and two starts this season through eight games. In 2013-2014, Simmons has averaged 18 minutes per game and a career high in points (7.1 per game). Lynchburg is 6-2 and looks to perform well in the ODAC this season.

Sophomore at Bridgewater College
On December 4 and 5, the former Warrior had a standout performance at the Liberty Kick-Off Meet. Gunther ran a personal best 1:59 in the 800m dash, finishing in second place, just two seconds off the Bridgewater college 800m indoor record of 1:57. At Matoaca, Gunther was a part of the 2013 Central District Championship 4 x 200 relay team, and a part of a 4 x 100 relay team that holds the school record with a time of 42.7 seconds. The sophomore is majoring in athletic training.
Thomas Dale High School
Junior at Duke University
After a storied basketball career at Dale, Johnson got a full-ride to play for one of the top women’s programs in the country, also aligning herself for an outstanding education at one of the best schools in the United States. Johnson has appeared in eight of the No. 2 Blue Devils (10-1) 11 games, averaging 2.5 points per game and two rebounds per game. As a senior, the Knight averaged nearly a triple-double per contest with 24.3 points, 11 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game. Johnson recorded seven triple-doubles that season.
