After a semester at Fork Union, Coble transferred to JMU and earned playing time as a freshman before redshirting last season. Playing alongside fellow Chester area resident Michael Birdsong, the former Monarch has caught six passes for 24 yards in limited playing time in the slot. Coble had a standout high school career, and was a four-year starter at quarterback for Meadowbrook. Similar in play to former Meadowbrook quarterback Gerard Johnson, Coble had a great senior season passing for 1,324 yards while running for 1,094 yards and scoring 26 total touchdowns.

Matoaca High School
Redshirt Junior at Temple University
Newman is yet another Matoaca offensive/defensive line standout to ascend to the next level and play well. After redshirting as a freshman and appearing in eight games as a sophomore, Newman appeared in eight games in 2012, and earned his first career start vs. Villanova. In that game, the Temple offensive line surrendered zero sacks. At Matoaca, Newman stood out more for his play on the defensive line, earning second-team All-Central District honors and All-Academic honors. Newman logged 40 tackles and 14 sacks during his senior season in 2009.
Football, Defensive Back
L.C. Bird High School
Freshman at Louisiana State University
After a standout year as a member of the 2012 6A State Champions, where he was an All-Dominion District performer at cornerback. The Tigers freshman also played receiver for the Skyhawks, Williams went down to Baton Rouge and walked on at Louisiana State under head coach Les Miles. As of press time, LSU (6-2) was ranked No. 6 in the nation, but lost to Ole Miss last Saturday 27-24. Of all of the athletes playing football at the next level, Williams currently plays for the highest rank team of any of them. If Williams gets time this season, it figures to be on special teams.
