A second fire threatened the Aleris recycling plant on May 3 around 9:30 a.m. Workers were making repairs from the first fire that erupted on April 24, when sparks from welding equipment ignited another fire. Emergency services were notified immediately and First Responders were able to arrive on scene within a few minutes of the fire beginning to spread.
