Author and Civil War Historian Noah Andre Trudeau visited Chesterfield County last week to tour Historic Point of Rocks. Trudeau is a former executive producer at NPR, and is the author of eight books on the Civil War. He will be touring Historic Historic Point of Rocks as part of his research for his current book on the last two weeks of Lincoln’s life. Trudeau is attempting to piece together Lincoln’s encounters during his visit to City Point in 1865, and is interested in obtaining family memorabilia that might shed light on Lincoln’s final days.
