14U Upper Deck Predators win Triple Crown’s Super 64 National Championship

Virginia’s three-time USSSA Major State Champions and No. 1 ranked team, the 14U Upper Deck Predators, traveled to Myrtle Beach, S.C. to play against the country’s best 14U travel teams in the “Triple Crown Super 64 National Championship.” The Predators, based out of Central Virginia, avenged last year’s nine win and three loss runner-up finish in this tournament by delivering a perfect 8-0 Championship Title. The grueling five day National Championship consisted of double elimination pool play that advanced the 16 pool winners to the Championship bracket. In the Championship bracket, the Predators faced several of the top teams in the country, showing a great will to win with half of their victories coming by two runs or less, including an extra inning game in the semi-finals. The National Championship served as a season ending crowning achievement for the Upper Deck Predators, who enjoy a three-year winning percentage of .830 with a combined record of 183-35-3. The Predators begin their 2015 Showcase Season this fall, and with the support of their sponsors, expect to have an equally rewarding season.  To help sponsor Virginia’s No.1 travel team, contact Rob Fultineer at 434-917-5417.
