The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program wants to help Chesterfield Police resolve two series of residential break-ins.
Between August 1 and August 21, 11 residential burglaries were reported in the Meadowdale area. The suspects forced their way in through rear doors, and a variety of items were stolen.
Between August 7 and September 12, five residential break-ins were reported in the Sherbourne Heights and Glen Conner subdivisions. In two of those cases, window air conditioning units were pushed from windows to gain entry. In those cases, various items were taken, including numerous pieces of jewelry.
Investigators do not believe the two series are connected. You can see maps of the affected areas at www.crimesolvers.net. From the main page, simply select the “Crime of the Week” link.
If you have information about any unsolved crime in or person wanted by Chesterfield County or the city of Colonial Heights, you may call Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660, submit a tip online at crimesolvers.net or Text-A-Tip by texting “WATSON” plus your tip to CRIMES (that’s 274637)**. All three methods will keep you anonymous. If your tip helps to solve a crime or catch a fugitive, you could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
