Hello and welcome back to the wonderful world of the Dogpound. I had to do some company travel a few weeks ago and since I had to stay overnight, I put Max up in the kennel for a few days. My vet runs that facility so I asked her to take a look at Max’s hindquarters; he has been having some difficulty getting up in the morning and stairs are a bit more of a challenge to him. I figured it was arthritis… he is getting on in years [12 years], but I wanted to make sure it was nothing else. “Ok Max…you can quit growling now, I am just telling the Dogpound pack the truth, and no I am not going to tell them my age too.” Anyway, the doc checked him out, and took some blood/ urine test. Good news…all of the test was good and she gave him some anti-inflammation pills and some arthritis pills. I must tell you they worked like a miracle. Within days Max was moving much better and friskier than he has been for months [I think I am going to sneak a few when he is not looking]…and what is really neat is that he can now jump into the back of the SUV without any additional assistance. But there is one last adder to this story. When the vet told me that the results were good, she also mentioned that she wanted a little bit more of Max’s urine to re-check his protein levels. I hope you have enough of a vivid imagination to envision me chasing Max around with a little cup trying to capture one of his callings of nature. See film on America’s Funniest Home Movies. LOL
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like, and do what you’d rather not.” Mark Twain
That is a wrap for now. As always be good, play safe, and remember to take your pills.
