MARTIN’S Food Markets recently announced it will begin the conversion process of the 25 Ukrop’s Super Markets on Monday, April 5.
During the conversion process, four to five stores at a time will close for one week, but pharmacies and banks will remain open for customer convenience, according to a press release from MARTIN’S. The six-phase process is expected to be completed on May 17.
The Colonial Square store, located at 3107-15 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, will close April 3 at 6 p.m. and reopen April 12 at 8 a.m. The Chesterfield Meadows store, located at 6401 Centralia Road, Chesterfield, will close April 17 at 6 p.m. and reopen April 26 at 8 a.m.
The Bermuda Square store, located at 12601 Jefferson Davis Highway, Chester, will close May 1 at 6 p.m. and reopen May 10 at 8 a.m. The Chippenham Crossing Store, located at 5201 Chippenham Crossing Center, Richmond, will close May 8 at 6 p.m. and reopen May 17 at 8 a.m.
In February, MARTIN’S completed the sale of the 25 Ukrop’s Super Markets, the release says. The company is making a multi-million dollar investment in each store, which will be spent on capital upgrades, such as new décor, improved lighting and refrigeration and new technology.
