On Friday Feb. 24, the American Red Cross Club at Matoaca High School sponsored a “Pajama Day.” Students, faculty and staff were asked to pay $1 to wear Pajamas on that day. All proceeds went to help Mrs. Misha Chisolm and her family. Mrs. Chisolm was involved in a terrible car accident, just before Christmas. She has a dislocation of the C-5 and C-6 vertebra and has fractured others. The American Spinal Injury Association classifies the condition as Tetraplegia, B-Incomplete. This means that she has sensory but not motor function below the level of her injury. Misha is the mother of two students at Matoaca High School and another student at Matoaca Middle school. The grand total collected was: $1124.32 - the Red Cross Club added $200 to that amount.
