The first grade classes of Harrowgate Elementary School studied the life of Civil Rights leader Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. during the month of February and concluded their studies with a performance of a play on his life for the student population and parents on Thursday, Feb. 23. Malachi Hardin played Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. during different times of his life with scenes from childhood, segregation in school and the day of Rev. Kings’ “I Have a Dream” speech in Washington.
