On February 15th students from both Matoaca and Elizabeth Davis Middle Schools met head to head for a battle of the books at Matoaca Middle School.    The Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for students in grades 3-12 that introduces a variety of popular and favorable reviewed literature.  The program helps develop reading analytical comprehension and retention skills.  In a fun environment, similar to the game Jeopardy, students share their knowledge about the books that they have read by competing in school and regional county competitions.
