Inspection sticker stolen, police warn of criminal acts

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a case involving stolen Virginia vehicle inspection stickers.

Since Jan. 3, 2012, Virginia inspection stickers have been stolen from two locations on Jefferson Davis Highway. The first incident occurred at Elders Garage at 14900 Jefferson Davis Highway. From that shop, books of rejection stickers and motorcycle inspection stickers were stolen. The second theft occurred at Garland’s Auto Repair, 7207 Jefferson Davis Highway; basic vehicle inspection sticker books were taken from that location.

Law enforcement officials want to warn citizens that knowingly accepting a stolen inspection sticker is not a simple traffic offense; it is a crime. Related images can be viewed on our website, crimesolvers.net. From the main page, select the Crime of the Week link.
