Chester Performing Arts Studio to welcome new instructors

Two new instructors will join the staff at Chester Performing Arts Studio (CPAS) this year: Jenna McClintock and Sarah Ruppel both bring their extensive experience as professional ballerinas and ballet instructors. McClintock will be teaching our Ballet IV and Pointe classes. Ruppel will instruct the center’s Ballet I and II classes. Their instructors concentrate on the correct art form of dance.  CPAS does not participate in competitions and does not host recitals. Their dancers will all perform in a production of “The Lion King” at the end of the session.

CPAS combines dance and voice to showcase everyone’s talent and allows them to participate in a performance rather than just a recital.  CPAS instructors want their students to understand that a dancer is also an actor – they must feel what their character is feeling in order to portray them well; just as actors do.
