More than 700 seniors attended the Chesterfield TRIAD’s 12th Annual Senior Day at Victory Tabernacle Church on Wednesday. “I was glad to see so many seniors turn out despite the rain. Everyone seemed to have a great time participating in chair exercises, enjoying live entertainment, gathering valuable information, and mixing and mingling,” said Senior Advocate Debbie Leidheiser, Chesterfield County Office of the Senior Advocate and Disability Services. “We appreciate the many volunteers and businesses that helped to make this event possible by donating their time, refreshments and door prizes.” Seniors brought in 50 pounds of expired or unused prescription- and over-the-counter medicines to help thwart drug theft and substance abuse. Chesterfield County and Chesterfield Substance Abuse Free Environment Inc. will safely dispose of them.
