Police search for murder suspect

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs help to identify and find the people responsible for shooting and killing a man in the 3900 block of Bridget Court on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at about 11:40 p.m.

Officers were initially called for shots being fired in the area. The officers found the victim while checking the area. The victim, James Patrick Mosley, was shot several times in the parking lot of his townhouse. Officers and rescue personnel attempted to resuscitate Mosley, but were unsuccessful. Witnesses described seeing a black male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt in the area at the time of the shooting.  A dark-colored vehicle was also seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed shortly after the shooting.
