Early morning fire displaces residents on Bryanbell Drive

The Chesterfield County Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to 6817 Bryanbell Drive at 3:13 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, for a house fire, according to a press release from Chesterfield County.

A resident smelled smoke and located the fire on the rear deck of the home, the release says. The fire quickly spread to the interior of the residence and caused significant damage to the home. All occupants were evacuated without injury.

Officials with the Chesterfield County Fire Marshal’s Office have determined the fire started on the rear deck, the release says, though the cause of the fire remains under investigation. One firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The Red Cross is assisting 14 residents who were displaced.
