Help identify man who stole game cartridges

This week, the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs help to identify a man who stole video game cartridges from a Walmart in Chesterfield County.

Between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, a man entered the Walmart at 14501 Hancock Village Street and went to the electronics department carrying a hand basket. He loaded X-Box and Playstation game cartridges into the basket and proceeded to the lawn and garden section of the store. After being confronted by an employee, the suspect set the basket down in the store, only to return to it minutes later. He grabbed the basket and fled using the fire-exit doors. He was seen running across the parking lot toward the Johnny Rockets restaurant. It was estimated that he got away with several hundred dollars worth of game cartridges.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, dark complexion, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. He wore an orange T-shirt and a black do-rag on his head. Photos of the suspect can be seen on Crime Solvers website. Visit crimesolvers.net and select the “Crime of the Week” link on the left side of the page.
