Chester natives Shelly Williams and Shauna Camp will participate in a half marathon in December to raise money for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America in honor friends and family who suffer from the disease.
They will run in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Las Vegas on Dec. 5 with Team Challenge, the CCFA’s half marathon training and fundraising program and official charity of the race. Both Williams and Camp have to raise $3,500.
Wiliams will run in honor of Camp, who was diagnosed with the Crohn’s disease when she was 9 years old, according to information on Williams’ fundraising website. Camp will run the race in honor of her older sister, Holly, who was diagnosed with the illness around age 18, the site says.
