Local softball team wins championship

Sandlot Softball, a team composed mainly of L. C. Bird High School graduates, recently won the SSAA E World Championships in Fayetville, N.C., according to information from John Herrin. Sandlot (pictured right) went undefeated through the tournament of 28 teams from several different states.
