The Chesterfield County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension is seeking those interested in being exhibitors in the Arts and Crafts Building at the Chesterfield County Fair. Competition is open to all interested parties to enter items in the following categories: general farm crops; flowers; breads, cakes, pies, cookies or candies; canned vegetables, fruits, relishes, pickles, jellies, jams or preserves; home arts and crafts; quilts, threadworks and sewing; arts and photography; and 4-H. Entries must be the product or work of the exhibitor. There are no entry fees. No professionals will be allowed into the competition in the department which is associated with their profession.
The fair will be held Friday, Aug. 22 through Saturday, Aug. 30. All exhibitors are required to deliver exhibits on Thursday, Aug. 21, 3 -8 p.m., to the Arts and Crafts Building. Exhibitors will not be allowed to remove any article that has been entered for a prize until 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31.
Pick up the Chesterfield County Fair book for rules and regulations for exhibitors from the Chesterfield County Cooperative Extension building or any library branch in August.
