Classic Equestrians qualify for State 4-H competition

Four senior members of the Chesterfield Classic Equestrians 4-H club recently competed in the Southeast District (Region 2) 4-H Dressage Show and are eligible to compete in the 4-H State Horse Show, September 10-13, at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington. The district’s only dressage show was held May 10, in Beaverdam.

To qualify for the state competition, each girl was required to attend at least 75 percent of the 4-H meetings; participate in the district horse bowl contest and a community service project; research and give a presentation at a meeting and complete a horse management project book, in addition to competing in this district show.
