Thomas Dale athletes ready to move on

After what has been a storybook season, Thomas Dale will send a record number of athletes on to compete at the next level. The Chester community looks forward to following the progress of the following athletes:

In football, all-state performer Airek Green is headed to William and Mary. The trio of Mike Edmonds, Brian Walker and Demitrious Campbell will represent UVa-Wise. Michael Dudley will continue his career at Virginia State. Roderick Doggett will play at Averett. Josh Childress will move on to Liberty. Greg Gallop will be an invited walk-on with Mike London’s Cavaliers at UVa. Brian Richardson and Brandon Burton will be prepping at Jireh Prep. Spencer Randolph will head to Pennsylvania to compete at Bloomsburg and Quintin Fulghum plans to attend St. Augustine.

Basketball player Malcolm King will matriculate at Patrick Henry Junior College in Martinsville. Baseball players Bill Cullen and Ryan Moore will play at VCU and Chowan, respectively. Loudon Phillips will continue his soccer career at Valley Forge, while teammate Vittorio Lauretano heads to Radford.

Katie Nuckols, at Bridgewater, and Carol Brinkley, at Eastern Mennonite, will continue their field hockey careers in the Shenandoah Valley. Teammates Katea Jemmott and Kristen Greene will continue their track and field careers at George Mason and James Madison, respectively. Allysa Frye will ply her trade at the College of Charleston.
