Support group to teach skills to kids with ADHD/ADD

f you’re a county resident with a child who has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or Attention Deficit Disorder, consider signing up your child for an ADHD/ADD Skill-Building and Support Group. The groups will help children better understand ADHD/ADD and develop skills for success, such as getting organized, staying focused, thinking before acting, and managing their feelings.  

The groups will meet for four sessions on Mondays, July 7-28, at the Community Development Building, 9800 Government Center Pkwy., Chesterfield, as follows:

  • 1-1:45 p.m. – Rising second and third-graders
  • 2-2:45 p.m. – Rising fourth and fifth-graders
  • 3-3:45 p.m. – Rising middle-schoolers


Preregistration is required. Fee: $20. These support groups are presented by the Chesterfield County Department of Mental Health Support Services Prevention Services.
