The annual barbeque cook-off competition presented by the Rotary Club of Chester will have some stiff competition among the entries with local favorites Sibley’s Bar-B-Que and Brocks Bar-B-Que battling for first place and beating out the reigning champ from last year’s cook-off – Bigs BBQ. Chester’s “Okey Dokey Smokey” BBQ and Capt Rob’s Pigalicious Barbeque will also try to win the People’s Choice award during Grill’n on the Green Thursday, May 8 from 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Along with good food and live entertainment, adult and family refreshments will be served. The Kid’s Zone, provided by Omega Learning Center, will include large inflatables, face painting, laser tag and hot dogs.
All proceeds benefit local charities supported by The Rotary Club of Chester. Tickets, at $25, are sold in advance at local retailers or online at www.chestervarotary.org. Children 10 and under are free.
