Police release photos of bank robbery suspects

Police have released surveillance photos of two men who robbed the Argent Credit Union branch at 5403 Jefferson Davis Hwy. at about 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police said each suspect approached a different teller and demanded money. Upon receiving cash, the suspects exited the building and attempted to flee the parking lot in a vehicle. After failing to get the car out of the lot because of the icy conditions, they abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot in the direction of Jefferson Davis Highway and Cogbill Road.

The first suspect is described as a male, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black polyester mask, which had no eye or mouth openings, over his face. He also wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, sagging black or dark-colored pants and light blue boxer shorts.

The second suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with an average build and a light complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans, a black beanie and a cloth covering his face.
