Junior Women’s Club collects gloves for Title I schools

The Junior Federated Woman’s Club of Chester (JFWCC) is collecting gloves for three elementary Title I  schools.

“Our goal is to give every child their own pair of gloves,” said Mary Schindel, JFWCC member. “We are working to outfit Bellwood, Beulah and Bensley elementary schools.”

Schindel said they estimate a need for 3,000 pairs of gloves. “Our Cotillion members are participating in this project as are our members, family and friends,” said Schindel. “We would love the community to get involved. No child should be cold and the stretch gloves they sell at the dollar stores, Walmart, Kmart, Target all work beautifully.”

For donating, a collection box has been set-up at She Chester located in the Village Green.
