Enon native Jessica Babinski was recently named 2010 National Association of Women Business Owner (NAWBO) Charlotte, N.C., Rising Star of the Year, according to a press release.

In November 2007, with the encouragement of her husband, who is also an entrepreneur, Babinski founded Paramount Lending, Inc., the release says. Two and a half years ago, the company launched from her basement. Today, Paramount, headquartered in South Charlotte, N.C., is made up of offices in five states with a total of 26 employees doing business in seven different states.

Jessica, who grew up in Enon and attended Enon Elementary, Chester Middle and Thomas Dale High schools, received the Five Star 2009 Charlotte Mortgage Professional Award and is a member of the National Association for Mortgage Professionals.
