The Next Level: King-Davis, Barnett, White

Marvin King-Davis, Forward

Sophomore at Delaware University
After a dominant senior season for the Monarchs in which he averaged 22.8 points per game, 11.5 rebounds per game and three blocks per contest, King-Davis became a Blue Hen. The 6-7 230-pound sophomore has shined in an enhanced role off the bench in 2013-2014 averaging five points and five rebounds per contest. In a November 19 performance against Army, King-Davis scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds. As a prep senior, King-Davis set the all-time single season record for points scored in a season at Meadowbrook with 557.

Lauren Barnett, Forward
L.C. Bird High School
Senior at Shippensburg University
Barnett roamed the paint for her senior season for the Skyhawks after playing at Manchester before ascending to the next level at Queens University (Charlotte, NC). The senior finally found a home at Shippensburg University (PA). Since her arrival at Shippensburg last season, Barnett is the only player to see action in every game. Off the bench, Barnett’s career high in points (9) and rebounds (6) came against Washington Adventist last season. Her father, Percy Barnett finished a track career at James Madison ranking in the top 10 all-time in the high jump and triple jump.

Andrew White III, Guard/Forward

Sophomore at University of Kansas
Formerly a sophomore swing man under head coach Eddie Goss, White III transferred to the Miller School and eventually inked a letter of intent with the Jayhawks. White at 6-6 210 is an athletic swing man, and has gotten increased playing time as a sophomore despite playing behind super frosh Andrew Wiggins. White III has reached double-figures in scoring twice this season with 12 points on November 8 vs. Louisiana-Monroe and with 13 points November 22 vs. Towson. The sophomore shares a backcourt with former Central District and Petersburg standout Frank Mason who starts at point guard for Kansas.
