A habit worth breaking

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help this week to solve a theft.

Just before 5 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, a woman appeared to be shopping in the Wawa at 15840 Jefferson Davis Highway. The clerk had a case of Newport cigarettes behind the counter, and had stepped away at the time the woman approached the counter. Surveillance cameras were rolling, and they captured images of the woman walking behind the counter, grabbing the case of cigarettes and walking out the front door.

The suspect was a black female, 35-45 years of age. She was wearing a black and gray blouse with black pants. She had a tattoo on the right side of her chest and had dark hair with blond bangs. She was seen leaving in a light-colored Chrysler 300 sedan.
