Before Thanksgiving, Meadowbrook students had the opportunity to give back to their community when 24 Success Program students  visited one of its Title I feeder schools, Falling Creek Elementary, to mentor two classes of Kindergartners, continuing their “Bridging the Gap” mission with Falling Creek Elementary.

Meadowbrook students created and ran six groups for two classes. This was also unique since many of the students are in the ESOL program (some are Level 1) and they had the opportunity to mentor ESOL kindergartners. The groups included how to tie shoes, reading stories, word wall words, rhyming games, math, etc. The “Bridging the Gap” mission will continue throughout the year.
