Stolen wallet, suspects charge thousands on credit cards

This week, the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a pickpocketing-type case from Colonial Heights.

On Thursday, Aug. 22, an elderly woman was shopping at the Marshall’s Department Store at 1142 Temple Avenue. While shopping, she was approached by a female who began talking to her about purses. While this conversation was going on, a second female reached into the victim’s handbag and removed her wallet.

The two suspects then proceeded to charge thousands of dollars worth of merchandise to her credit cards. Two of the purchases occurred at the Macy’s and Best Buy stores in Colonial Heights.

Surveillance cameras captured images of both suspects. They were black females. One was wearing an orange blouse and tan capri pants. The second was wearing a white blouse and black capri pants. Their photos can be seen on the Crime of the Week page of crimesolvers.net.
