Single-vehicle crash kills driver Sunday

Chesterfield County Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed the vehicle’s driver, according to a police press release. The crash occurred in the 9300 block of Hickory Road at about 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 9.
A 1999 Ford Escort was traveling east on Hickory Road when the driver went off the right side of the road and struck a tree, the release says. The driver died at the scene. The driver’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the release says.
