The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program wants to help police solve a credit card fraud case and identify a thief who has struck before.
On Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, a woman and her daughter went to Westchester Regal Cinema to watch a movie at approximately 1 p.m. During the movie, the victim set her purse in the seat beside her. As she stood up to leave, the victim noticed that her wallet was sitting on top of her purse. She checked, and discovered that her credit cards had been taken.
The subsequent investigation revealed that a black female used two of the victim’s stolen cards at a Best Buy and Target, both within Chesterfield. She appeared to be in her 40s, heavyset, and had a medium complexion. You can see her picture at www.crimesolvers.net.
Detectives believe this female suspect was involved in other similar cases.
