On Sunday, March 31, Christians will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. John 1:1 states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Then John 1:14 states, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 3:16-17 states, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
Romans 3:23 states, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 5:8 states, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 6:23 states, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 states, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” Jesus died a cruel death on a cross so that man’s sin could be forgiven, and that all people could be declared justified and righteous by the saving work of Christ.
Man’s responsibility is to realize our inability to save ourselves. In Mark 1:15, Jesus taught, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” The gospel is the good news of what Jesus has done for each of us. 1 John 1:9 states, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Romans 10:9-10 states, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Jesus died so that you and I could have life through Him. My prayer is that every person that has rejected Christ will turn to Him, and that every believer will realize who we are in Christ. May revival occur in the hearts of the church and a spiritual awakening occur in our land. This is not a message of hate, as some believe, but a message of hope and love. Find a place of worship that teaches the Bible as the absolute truth that it is and take your family there. God bless each of you and God bless the nations of this world.
