Police investigated a call on Monday, Jan. 21 at New Found Lane in Chester. Three teenage males were playing football in the 3300 block, when two vehicles, a white Kia and a beige Ford Explorer, arrived. Several suspects exited the vehicles and began to fight with the three teens. Once two of the teens said they would call police, the occupants of the vehicles fled.
Officers soon located two vehicles matching the description of the suspect vehicles. Investigators could not determine the origin of the dispute, as each group claimed the other started the fight. Due to the conflicting stories, no one was charged in relation to the fight.
During a K9 search of the vehicles and their occupants, several were found to be in possession of what appeared to be marijuana. As a result, the following people were charged:
Timothy Bishop, 19, of Hopewell, was charged with possession of controlled paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Darius Jefferson, 19, of Hopewell, was charged with possession of controlled paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. (Jefferson was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon, as he was found to be the owner of a set of brass knuckles found in a purse belonging to Barbara P. Bishop. Bishop, 41, of Hopewell, was charged with disorderly conduct.)
Brian Davis, 20, of Hopewell, was charged with possession of marijuana.
