Pedestrian killed on Hopkins Road

The Chesterfield County Police Department has released the identity of a man who was struck by two vehicles in the 6200 block of Hopkins Road at about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Police said a 1999 Pontiac and a brown truck were traveling north on Hopkins Road when the driver of the Pontiac struck a pedestrian, Christopher R. Coleman, 20, who was in the roadway. The brown truck then struck Coleman and fled the scene. The driver of the Pontiac remained at the scene.

Coleman, of the 4200 block of Lawnwood Drive, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Pontiac was uninjured. At this time, no one has been charged in relation to this incident and the investigation continues.
