The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a crash that involved a pedestrian who was struck by a two vehicles in the 6200 block of Hopkins Rd at about 5:30 p.m. today[Dec. 4]. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a 1999 Pontiac and a brown colored truck were traveling north on Hopkins Road when the driver of the Pontiac struck the pedestrian in the roadway, the brown colored truck then struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.

The Chesterfield County Police Department is declining to release the victim or the striking driver information at this time. The driver was uninjured.
