TRIPLE SHOOTING WAS DOMESTIC RELATED, POLICE SAY

Chesterfield County Police have released additional information about a domestic-related triple shooting that occurred on Thursday, Nov. 22, in the 15200 block of Timsberry Terrace.

Police were called to a residence in the 15200 block of Timsberry Terrace for a domestic dispute at about 8:20 p.m. on Nov. 22. As officers pulled up, they heard shots being fired and saw the suspect, Michael D. Williams, outside the residence. Upon approaching the residence on foot, officers saw Williams, 35, inside, but did not hear additional shots. A female victim suffering from a gunshot wound then fled the residence. One officer saw Williams aim his gun at the juvenile male victims; the officer fired twice, but did not strike Williams. Shortly thereafter, Williams exited the rear of the residence and was taken into custody by additional officers.

Three victims, an adult female, a 16-year-old male and a 10-year-old male, were shot in the incident. They were taken to VCU Medical Center. The female, who is the mother of the two juvenile victims, had non-life threatening injuries. The two juvenile males had life-threatening injuries; they continue to receive care at VCU Medical Center.

The female victim was in a relationship with Williams. Williams is not related to the two juvenile victims.
Williams, of the 13700 block of Duxton Drive in Chesterfield, has been charged with three counts of malicious wounding, three counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, one count of burglary and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling. He is currently being held in the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.

No officers were hurt during the incident. As in all such cases, the actions of the officer who fired the shots are being reviewed by the Chesterfield County Police Department and Chesterfield County's Commonwealth's Attorney.
