Police Blotter: April 21, 2010

WOODPECKER RD 4/11 Village Commons Shopping Center. The victim said he had just pulled into the shopping center when the suspect approached and asked if he wanted to buy some drugs. When the victim refused, the suspect cut the victim’s arm and ran off.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 4/10 The subject entered a store to mail packages and told the clerk there was a bomb in one of the packages. The police were called. The suspect was located and questioned. The package was analyzed and determined not to be anything related to bomb material.

MEADOWDALE BL 4/10 Regency Lake Apartments. The residence was entered through a window that was broken out by the suspect/s. Property was stolen from inside.

ADDINGTON AVE 4/11 Grindall Creek Park. Suspect/s entered the residence through an unlocked door and removed the victim’s purse from inside the house.

COTFIELD RD 4/09 Kimberly Acres. Unknown suspect/s entered the victim’s unlocked crawlspace and stole miscellaneous property.

DREWRY’S BLUFF RD 4/09 The residence was entered by unknown means and property was stolen. No signs of force were found.

DUPUY RD 4/11 Washington Place. The victim’s residence was entered and property was stolen. No signs of force were found.

BRIMLEY PL 4/09 Berwick Village Apartments. Unknown suspect/s pried the victim’s rear sliding glass door in an attempt to enter the residence.

HEATHBLUFF CT 4/09 Gates Bluff. A GPS was reported stolen from the victim’s unlocked 2007 Rav4.

PRETTY LN 4/09 The victim reported fuel was siphoned from her burgundy 1998 Buick Century.

S BEULAH RD 4/10 A locked blue 1992 Toyota was entered and miscellaneous property was reported stolen.

RUFFIN MILL RD 4/09 Property was reported stolen from the victim’s white 1998 Mazda 626. No signs of forced entry were noted.

ENON CHURCH RD 4/09 Morrisdale. The victim saw an unknown suspect inside her unlocked silver 2006 Ford Taurus. At this time, nothing was reported stolen.

VICTORIA PARK WY 4/09 Meadowbrook Farm. The victim reported a vehicle part stolen from his Cadillac Fleetwood.

HOPKINS RD 4/10 A locked blue Honda Civic was entered and property was reported stolen.

WALMSLEY BL 4/11 Full Gospel Church. License plates were reported stolen from the church van.

IRON BRIDGE PZ 4/10 A locked tan 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis was entered. Miscellaneous property was reported stolen.

LOST FOREST FR 4/08 Chesswood. The complainant reported license plates were stolen from the victim’s blue 1997 Mercury, which was parked in the driveway.

HARVETTE DR 4/11 Fuqua Farms. The license plates were reported stolen from the victim’s Dodge Intrepid.

WARFIELD ESTATES 4/10 The front license plate was reported stolen from the victim’s black 1993 Ford F150 pickup.

BARBERRY CT 4/09 Bermuda Gardens. The front license plate was reported stolen from the victim’s blue 1994 Lincoln.

NEWBY’S BRIDGE RD 4/10 Gene’s Appliance. A white 1992 Isuzu truck was reported stolen.

 

ORIOLE AVE 4/10 Grindall Creek Park. The victim was walking along the roadway when the two suspects approached, asking for a light. Upon being told, “No,” the suspects walked away from the victim, but then ran back to the victim. As one suspect held a gun on the victim, the other searched his pockets, taking cash from his wallet. The suspects then threw the wallet back onto the ground and told the victim to leave.

HOPKINS RD 4/12 McDonald’s. The suspect entered the business, said he had guns and demanded the cash from the register and then from the safe. When told there was no money in the register and no access to the safe, the suspect walked out. Responding police units located the suspect and took him into custody.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 4/10 Fast and Friendly. After the suspects entered the store, they split up. While one moved toward the counter and displayed a handgun, demanding the money, the other held a gun on the second clerk. Once the register opened, the suspect at the counter reached into the drawer and took the cash. Both suspects then walked out of the store.

BARRISTER RD 4/12 Courthouse Green. A vacant residence was entered through an unlocked door. The suspects vandalized the interior.

MAIN ST 4/12 Unknown suspect/s kicked in the basement door. Nothing appeared to be missing from the basement. Additional vandalism was found to several window screens on the exterior of the building, as well.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 4/12 Bermuda Estates Trailer Park. A side window was pried open on a residence. The suspect/s vandalized the interior and ate food from the residence.

CHESTER RD 4/13 Uppy’s Exxon. An unknown suspect smashed the glass door of the business out in order to gain entry. The suspect then entered the business and removed items from inside.

GRAYMOSS RD 4/12 HVAC units were stolen from outside a residence.

REYMET RD 4/12 Team Fishel Company. Suspect/s pried open the door to the Caterpillar equipment and stole the battery from inside.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 4/12 Swift Creek Mill Playhouse. A trailer was stolen from the location.

HAMPTON AVE 4/13 Beechnut Acres. Property was removed from a residence. The front door had been left unlocked.

RAILGATE TR 4/13 Chester Station. A glass pane was broken out of the rear door. Property was removed.

CANASTA DR 4/12 A lock was cut on the victim’s unattached garage and miscellaneous items were removed.

ADELAIDE AVE 4/13 Garland Heights. Property was removed from the victim’s unlocked garage.

GEORGE CT 4/13 Greenleigh Mobile Homes. Property was removed from a residence.

WARREN AVE 4/13 Robertson Place. The rear door was kicked in an attempt to enter the residence.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY 4/14 AAPCO of Richmond. Three locked vehicles were entered and, at the time, nothing was reported stolen.

TINSBERRY DR 4/13 Tinsberry Trace. A locked, silver 1997 Honda Civic was entered and property was reported stolen.

OLD BERMUDA 4/14 Moores Sign Corp. Several company vehicles were reported entered and property was stolen. No signs of forced entry were noted.

MARINA DR 4/14 Falling Creek Apartments. Two locked vehicles were entered and miscellaneous property was reported stolen.

WILLIS RD 4/12 Locking mechanisms on two vending machines were popped and cash was removed from cash and coin boxes.

DUNDAS RD 4/14 RSC Equipment Rental Inc. An unlocked white 2004 Ford truck was reported stolen from the complainant’s driveway.

TOTTY ST 4/13 A black 2009 QT scooter was reported stolen.

LONGHOUSE LN 4/14 Matoaca High School. A small fire was set in a boy’s bathroom. No permanent damage occurred.
