Hello and welcome back to the wonderful world of the Dogpound. If my timing is correct…since I do write this ahead of time…we are almost ready for the final showdown for the presidential race. Speaking of the presidential race I have read that then new Iphone…the one that features Siri…”you speak and she answers”...has a serious flaw that can lock up your Iphone or worse may cause serious problems with your software. It has been reported that if you ask Siri who you should vote for..she will respond..”I cannot locate a decent candidate for you,” and immediately shut down. I guess the smart phones are a lot smarter than I thought. Also I would like to report that I have a magic garbage disposal. I was not aware of its magical qualities till this weekend when I turned it on to grind up some leftover food from supper. It started making a kind of grinding sound that could have been food or it could have been a utensil thrashing madly around inside. As I reached for the stop switch a spoon, as neat as could be, popped up out the garbage disposal opening and landed in the sink. This was not a fluke because this happened again a few days ago..however the bad news is that it is not so magical with forks and knives. Other points of interest, my subscription to Newsweek is now in jeopardy. I was just informed that early in 2013 they will go totally digital, and me without a kindle or even a smart phone. Not that I have great desire to try and read a magazine via these electronic devices, but it does kind of limit my access to that type of intellectual stimulus. I mean, I have no idea what I will do if Mad Magazine decides to follow Newsweek’s lead into an all digital publication.

QUICKIES
Well, I think that is a wrap for me. Max and I need to go vote, which is proof that the current voting laws are not too stringent. As always be good, play safe, and vote..it is your right…use it wisely.
