A bone-jarring tackle at the hands of Eric McBride separated the ball from an Elon receiver, resulting in a turnover that led to a Kevin Grayson touchdown reception in the second quarter of the Spiders 27-21 victory last Saturday.

Mandatory water restrictions effective Sept. 15

Historically low water levels in Lake Chesdin prompted Chesterfield County to issue mandatory water restrictions for all water customers last week. The restrictions will go into effect Wednesday, Sept. 15.

Fort Lee soldier transport trains will add rail traffic through Chester

Once a new travel initiative is implemented, a military convoy that now travels Interstate 95 from Fort Lee to Fort A.P. Hill will be replaced by an Army-owned six- to 10-car passenger train, according to information released by Fort Lee officials.
