Annual Run for the Future is July 17

The Lucy Corr Foundation will sponsor a 5K Run for the Future on Saturday, July 17, at 8 a.m. at 6800 Lucy Corr Blvd., near the Chesterfield County government complex. Registration packet pick-up will begin at 7 a.m. The 5K Run for the Future includes a flat-loop course in the Courthouse area for runners, as well as a 2.5K scenic trail for walkers.

Help police catch men who robbed Your Store

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs the community’s help to identify and catch two men who robbed Your Store at 740 Adkins Road on Thursday, May 20, at about 8:30 p.m.

ALFALFA LN 6/26 Bellwood Maisonette Apartments. The victim said he was walking near the listed location when he noticed three subjects following him. As he turned toward them, one of the suspects cut his arm. The suspect and his associates then ran off.

Commission recommends denial of Village Green rezoning

For the third time in two years, the Planning Commission has recommended denial of a rezoning request that would allow up to 65 apartments to be added to Chester Village Green.
