The Fighting Marlins of Patrol Squadron FORTY (VP-40) held its change of command ceremony May 6, when Chesterfield native Commander Brett Mietus relieved Commander John Maxwell. The ceremony marked VP-40’s 55th change of command since its commissioning on January 20, 1951.

Police arrested a man Monday after he fired a gun inside a residence during a domestic argument. Police were called to the 6400 block of Cosmic Road in Regency Lake Apartments at about 10 a.m. on Monday, May 9. Police said Jerrick Davis, 25, fired a gun in the residence during a domestic argument with another resident of the apartment.
